It was the deadliest year for Harrisburg in more than 30 years.
Twenty-two people died by homicide, up from 14 in 2019. So far, police have solved half of last year’s homicides. If you have information on an unsolved homicide, you can call Harrisburg police at 717-558-6900.

More COVID-19 Cases in Pennsylvania
(Harrisburg, PA)   Positive COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Department of Health added over 8,500 new cases to its COVID-19 dashboard yesterday. The total number of cases in the state is now over 622,000 and there are currently more than 6,000 people hospitalized because of the coronavirus.
Susquehanna Valley Restaurants Ordered to Close
(Susquehanna Valley, PA)   The Department of Agriculture Bureau of Food Safety is ordering about 16 Susquehanna Valley restaurants to close for violating COVID-19 restrictions. Inspectors announced yesterday that they have closed down a total of 33 restaurants after completing almost 400 inspections last week and 16 of those were from the Susquehanna Valley. One restaurant was in Cumberland County, two were in Dauphin and Lebanon Counties, but the most closures came out of Lancaster County with eleven. Governor Wolf s in-door dining ban is supposed to end J ....

Woman who accused Steelton man of violence is charged with killing him

A Harrisburg man conspired with a 20-year-old woman to shoot and kill a man in Steelton last September, police said in court documents charging the pair with multiple counts of murder.
Mason Quailes, 20, of Harrisburg, and Shnasia Peterson, 20, of Steelton, are facing first and second-degree murder and a slew of other charges for the Sept. 2 fatal shooting of 39-year-old Ismail Lewis.
Steelton police arrived on the 500 block of North Front Street around 1 p.m. and discovered Lewis suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Three shell casings were in the street, and there was blood on the front stoop, according to an affidavit of probable cause. ....

Total COVID-19 Cases In P-A Top 571-Thousand
(Harrisburg, PA) Officials with the P-A Department of Health are adding another 79-hundred-62 COVID-19 cases across the Commonwealth. That brings the statewide total to 571-thousand-551 confirmed or probable cases since the start of the pandemic. There were 231 COVID-19 related deaths reported yesterday, bringing the death toll to 14-thousand-212.
Two Charged For Alleged Drug Deal Robbery In Harrisburg
(Harrisburg, PA) Police are charging two men for their role in a robbery that started with a drug deal gone wrong in Harrisburg last week. Leonard Quattlebaum and William Hawkins are both accused in the incident on the 100-block of South Second Street Friday night. The 29-year-old Quattlebaum and his 20-year-old accomplice decided to rob a third man during a marijuana buy. It’s reported the gun used in the robbery was stolen from Swatara Township. The two are in Dauphin County Prison on 100-thousand-dollars bail. ....
