Women Getting COVID-19 Vaccine Should Wait To Get Mammograms
Medical experts said women should wait four to six weeks after their second COVID-19 vaccine before getting a mammogram. The vaccine can lead to temporary swelling of the lymph nodes. That inflammation is usually a sign that more tests are needed for breast cancer. Doctors want that swelling to go down before doing a mammogram.
