Monday: Jefferson County Health Officials Issue New Advisory Over Coronavirus Spread


Currently there are no confirmed cases of the new Delta variant in Jefferson County, according to communications specialist Brianne Zwiener with the Jefferson County Health Department.
“But that doesn t mean that we won t get them,” Zwiener told
St. Louis on the Air. Public health officials are fully expecting confirmed cases in the coming weeks and are continuing mass vaccinations efforts.
“Ultimately, we want to protect our citizens individually. But as a community, it takes all of us and all of our actions to ward off another surge,” she added. The county has seen more than 250 COVID-19 deaths, and more than 24,000 coronavirus cases so far. ....
