Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest is seeking public comments on fee changes at certain recreation sites across four of the Forest’s ranger districts and the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area.
11:15 update: It has been confirmed that two structures have burned, a BLM-owned structure and a private outbuilding. East Fork Fire Officials are working to notify the owner of the private structure. 9:30 a.m. update from Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center, the Ray May Fire is 50 percent contained, estimated at 2,730 acres.
Drift smoke from the Oak Fire near Yosemite National Park in Mariposa County moved into the Sierra Front and western Nevada overnight. The fire remains active with smoke impacts likely to continue. As of Sunday morning, both Gardnerville and Minden's air quality was in the "unhealthy range," according to airnow.gov.
