Decision defended to tender Fletchers funfair in Silloth
Councillors in Silloth have defended the decision to put the site of Fletchers funfair out to tender. At a meeting on Monday night, Silloth Town Council chairman Mark Orchard delivered a pre-preared statement on behalf of the council explaining why the contract had been put out to tender, which he said was a standard legal obligation. He also set out that the council has what he said was an "email trail" showing that they had notified Fletchers funfair in early December 2019 that the site would be put out to tender.
