Wexford companies inform European project to make tourism destinations more accessible for those with disabilities

A Europe-wide project which seeks to make outdoor adventure activities and tourism more accessible for people with disabilities has been informed by service users and businesses in Wexford. The ONAT4ALL project runs across Ireland, Spain, France, Belgium and Italy with the Irish arm operated by Wexford-native Hazel Nicholl.

Wexford national school pupils to travel to France as part of sustainability project

Pupils from Scoil Réalt na Mara in Kilmore will be travelling to France next year as part of a project which seeks to broaden their understanding of their homeland and its neighbouring countries. Entitled ‘Promoting Sustainability at our Seashore Environment’, the project will highlight local issues around sustainability and will see the school community conduct a series of projects to examine the local coastline.

The Wexford Unit of the Order of Malta has launched its first recruitment campaign for 2024 as it seeks to find people interested in “making a difference in their community”. It is holding two information sessions for those who are interested in applying to become a volunteer. The information sessions will be held on Thursday, January 25 from 7-8 p.m., and Sunday, January 28 from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. at their Ambulance Base and Training Centre in St Johns Drive, St Johns Road, Wexford Town, Y35 RX51.
