“I just want to cry I'm so happy. I'm absolutely over the moon,” Osborne told Sky Sport. “We absolutely trust each other 100 per cent and it comes down to the programme. I was in the quad before this so I had my quad girls... and then jumping into this crew combination has just been seamless and I'm so happy to have been with Brooke. She's just phenomenal.” The Kiwi duo tried desperately to haul in gold medallists, Romania’s Ancuta Bodnar and Simon Radis, who set a frenetic pace and won in a blistering Olympic-best time of six minutes 41.03 seconds.
