New cyber research connects the infamous North Korea-aligned Lazarus Group behind the Linux malware attack called Operation DreamJob to the 3CX supply-chain attack.
Similarities with newly discovered Linux malware used in Operation DreamJob corroborate the theory that the 3CX attack was carried out by Lazarus.
While the Linux malware is unrelated to the 3CX software supply chain hack disclosed in March, ESET researchers said that the discovery of the malware chain helped them confirm with a “high level of confidence” that the incident was carried out by hackers associated with Lazarus Group.
