The Single Marine Program is known for their involvement in the community, but just like a new year, they plan to refresh their volunteer calendar.

A volunteer effort this spring collected hundreds of those bicycles that ultimately may be sold for scrap. Sun Journal New Bern’s annual Veterans Stand-down, which assists disabled, disadvantaged and homeless veterans, has become yet another casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
