6 Weld County school districts, 7 schools recognized by state with high performing awards
More than 380 awards in six categories were to be presented to 61 districts and 310 schools statewide. The award categories are: Centers of Excellence, John Irwin School of Excellence, Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award, the Governor's Bright Spot Awards, Academic Growth Award and Districts Accredited with Distinction.
