(CNN)The Three Rivers Fire has grown from burning 4,000 to 12,000 acres in New Mexico, according to a press release on the New Mexico Fire Information site. As of late Tuesday local time, the fire, which is burning about 60 miles northeast of White Sand National Park and about three hours south of Albuquerque, was five percent contained. Forestry officials said the fire has burned 12,000 acres, and is 5% contained.
