In an emergency meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, a resolution declaring an emergency in the county was approved unanimously by Commissioners. The resolution declares Lincoln County a disaster area, allowing for the exercise of "necessary emergency powers and the expenditure of available resources," the resolution reads. The fire has grown to 6,100 acres as of 8 a.m. Tuesday. The fire started half a mile north of Three Rivers Campground and spread almost to Ski Apache and into the South Fork Bonito area. No injuries or structures have been burned by the fire.
