Officials with Fairfield Memorial Hospital shared an update with the public on Tuesday about progress with their surgical pavilion. Currently, the work is in the third and final phase at the hospital. That phase consists of remodeling and completing the same day surgery center. Hospital officials say that currently, the surgery center is operating with 2 operating rooms and 8 beds while sharing a waiting room with lab and diagnostic imaging.
