An estimated $600,000 could be divided between commercial and rental housing rehab activities.
New grants announced as part of the Small Cities Development Program will distribute $24 million to communities across Minnesota.
Okabena will receive $600,000 dedicated to public facility improvements, and Edgerton was awarded $1,049,375 to be used in owner-occupied housing rehab, rental housing rehab and commercial rehab.
The Willmar City Council on Dec. 19 will conduct a hearing on street improvements and consider authorizing a grant application for a fitness court.
