Three Wayne County school districts have been awarded grants of approximately $1 million to support youth services.

Lake trout are moving into the Niagara river in larger numbers right now, the steelhead action continues to be strong, and both smallmouth and musky activity has picked up.

There are still salmon hanging on, but most anglers have switched gears and are now targeting the trout that are entering the tributaries.

Bass and walleye action continues to be very good, with smallmouth hitting 3-way rigs baited with crayfish or minnows, and walleye hitting worm harnesses.

Salmon action is picking up with some fish transitioning into spawning mode thanks to cooling tributary waters.
