Delaware s largest health system and insurer announced the creation of a joint venture Wednesday, which the organizations describe as a landmark agreement that will use technology and data to lower overall health care costs.
ChristianaCare and Highmark Health have entered into to a 10-year collaboration that consists of a for-profit venture company, which will be governed equally by both companies. This is not a merger or an exclusive agreement, executives say. 
One of the main arms of the venture will be its Solutions Design Center, which will use data and technology to improve access to care while also lowering costs for patients. Another aspect will be the Center for Virtual Health, which is planned to develop virtual capabilities like telehealth for primary care and other specialties.  ....
