Be taught in that regard. education. excellent. they need to be taught how to respect themselves, how to respect their own future, you can t do that if you can t convince them that you love them. what all of these young people need is somebody teaching them from the heart, that they are loved and this they can be somebody. you have to love somebody into their destiny. we cannot put our heads in the sand about the problem. we cannot continue to acts if it doesn t exist and by the way, frasier high school, i will predict is just the tip of the iceberg. one high school. my colleagues are wondering how the number came about or the news reporters are sitting outside kointing the number of girls that walk into the school. that s my point. the point is we have to reach our children because no one nation can long endure with a bunch of young, uneducated children. we re on a crash krors for destruction. no doubt. it s so hard to break the cycle. ....
Responsible. what about people who say you re the union president and your job is to just keep teachers in some cases who are even under performing in their jobs? of course i know you love children and this is a calling i think when you are a teacher. right. when it gets to the political level and unions, some say this is just about protecting jobs. but look. at the end of the day, we said for the last several years we have to make sure there are no incompetent teachers in classrooms. and we ve taken steps to try to turn that around. no teacher wants somebody teaching side by side who doesn t know what he or she is doing. if you have a second grade teacher that doesn t know what he is doing the second graders get hurt and the third grade teacher gets hurt. what teachers want more than anything else, and they do an amazing job, is the tools and conditions to help kids learn. that s what i wanted when i was in 11th grade social studies teacher and that s what the teachers i know ....
