Midland takes another step forward in their sonic progression Friday as they release the five-song EP The Last Resort via Big Machine Records, marking their first project of new material in two years. “At the very beginning of 2020, we were like, 'Oh yeah, we've got the third album in the bag. Cody Jinks was busy at Sonic Ranch this spring. In between giving fans live updates from the studio, he managed to record 30 country songs.
