Today (June 2) Cody Jinks revealed details about his upcoming new "country" album. I, like probably most of you, initially took the fact that he kept referring to it as a "country" album was merely a way of reinforcing to fans that'd it'd be a real country album, ya know, like we've come to expect from Jinks. It appears that Jinks use of "country" over and over in the post may run much deeper -- it may've actually been quite intentional.

Midland Announce the Last Resort Headlining Tour for Fall 2021 Midland are the latest country act to resume their tour plans following the year-plus-long COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns. The trio are hitting the road for their 2021 The Last Resort Tour this fall. Midland Plans To Get Back On The Road This Year Midland are the lastest band to announce plans to tour later this year on their 2021 The Last Resort Tour. Shows begin October 7 in Phoenix, Arizona and will wrap up December 16 in Shreveport., La. Hailey Whitters is opening for the trio. She's a rising singer-songwriter who has collaborated with Little Big Town, Jordan Davis, Trisha Yearwood and others. Midland recently released a documentary and soundtrack called Midland: The Sonic Ranch, which shares the story of how the band was created.

The Texas trio are hitting the road again starting in October, and they'll be joined by opening act Hailey Whitters.
