Wine.com Hosts 11th Annual Industry Growth Summit

SAN FRANCISCO, March 9, 2021 /PRNewswire/  Wine.com, the nation s leading online retailer, hosted its eleventh annual Industry Growth Summit for its worldwide wine and spirits suppliers and wholesalers.  Over 1,100 registrants from 10 countries logged into Zoom to discuss Wine.com s explosive growth during 2020 and make plans for 2021.
In their presentations, the Wine.com management team reported that revenue grew 119%, to over $300 million during 2020. Highlights included:
Customers of all generations – Millennials and younger (of legal drinking age) grew to represent 39% of Wine.com customers last year, with Gen-X at 30%, Baby Boomers 26%, and older 5%.

Sonoma County, CA - Sonoma State University’s Wine Business Institute announces the commemoration of its 25th anniversary to celebrate the institute’s legacy as a pioneer
in providing wine business education and research. In 1998, the WBI was the first in the U.S. to offer an undergraduate degree focused on the business of wine, followed by a Wine MBA in 2008, and an Executive Wine MBA in 2012. The institute has conferred 1,196 wine business degrees, including undergraduate and graduate, and awarded 551 certificates. The institute’s faculty have produced over 700 publications. Celebrating Achievement, Looking Ahead underscores the year as the Wine Business Institute reflects on the last 25 years and launches a new strategic plan.
