“That goal completely carried us through the rest of the game.” After being shut out Friday, Charlotte Hallett's goal in the second period was all Syracuse needed to defeat RIT 3-0.
Despite winning the faceoff battle 30-20, Syracuse couldn’t muster any offense to get past RIT, falling 1-0. The Orange now sit on the doorstep of missing the CHA playoffs for the first time in program history.
The Orange were held scoreless in the final two periods, losing 4-1 to RIT. SU’s winless streak extended to 12 games, with its last win a 3-2 victory over RPI on Oct. 14.
