Two Cambodian prisoners were sanctioned by the General Department of Prisons (GDI) in the Ministry of Interior for committing violence, by jointly beating a Chinese prisoner over an argument earlier this month at Prey Sar prison.
The General Department of Prisons (GDP) issued a May 26 statement acknowledging that there had been a violent incident between prisoners at Correctional Centre I, commonly known as Prey Sar Prison, after a video of the violence circulated on social media. The fight, between two Cambodian inmates and a Chinese prisoner, took place on April 5.
