Solar tracker supplier Nextracker has unveiled three new products aimed to address hail storms, undulating terrain and rapid change in atmospheric conditions.
Nextracker and Asteelflash, a subsidiary of electronics design and manufacturing company Universal Scientific Industrial (USI), have opened a manufacturing line to produce Nextracker’s patented components for solar tracking technology in California.
A new factory in Tennessee officially was revealed today that will make steel components for Nextracker solar tracking systems. The Memphis-based facility houses MSS Steel Tubes United States, a joint venture of Metalogalva and also Soufer, as well as will produce Nextracker steel torque tubes. The site supports 129 jobs.

In collaboration with MSS Steel Tubes USA, the operation will provide low-carbon steel components to support the company’s recent 3 GW multi-year agreement with Silicon Ranch for its projects in the Tennessee Valley and greater Southeast.
