General Motors is storing several hundred Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pickups and full-size vans while they await parts to complete production at Wentzville Assembly plant in Missouri. Then they will ship to dealerships. The industry is faced with a massive shortage of semiconductor chips used in car parts causing automakers to build and store vehicles in certain instances.
