Commissioners unanimously approved having a public hearing Feb. 20 with a second reading, and potential final adoption, on the proposed ordinance at the board’s March 5 meeting.
Dan Greensweig, administrator of the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) Insurance Trust, advised the city council to resolve conflicts or potentially see restrictions to city insurance coverage.
Sheriff Tom Burch said there were a total of 20,663 initial complaint reports filed in 2021, which was up over the 19,492 reports than the previous year.
