At 7pm on the dot on Friday evening, Selkirk’s Royal Burgh Standard Bearer was introduced to a cheering crowd, chaired out of the town hall doors by several of his predecessors.
Royal Burgh Standard Bearer Adam Nichol fulfilled his childhood dream on Friday, by casting the town’s colours in the Market Place.
Adam Nichol may be well versed in the art of casting a flag, but he won’t be alone on June 17.
