Marag is the 11th chief of the department. His Installation Ceremony took place on March 28 and the Oath of Office was provided by Justice Serge Georges Jr. He took over duties following Chief William Pace s retirement on April 2. It is an honor for me to step into this role having served my entire career with the Randolph Police Department, Marag said. The men and women of this department serve selflessly and with integrity and courage and I am grateful to them for their dedication to their community. I would also like to thank Chief Pace for his leadership over the past 10 years and his commitment to the department, and I wish him well in his retirement. ....
RANDOLPH Nearly a pound of fentanyl was seized in Randolph and three men have been arrested on drug trafficking charges, police said. Anyelo Medina-Jimenez, 34, of Providence, R.I.; Julio Carpio-Jimenez, 30, of Meriden, Conn.; and Juan Franjul Castillo of the Dominican Republic, were all charged in trafficking in more than 200 grams of fentanyl. Castillo was also charged with trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl. All three men were arraigned in Quincy District Court Thursday and are being held pending a dangerousness hearing on Feb. 3. Pace said that detectives from the drug control unit were conducting surveillance around 2 p.m. Wednesday in the area of James Tighe Road. They witnessed a suspected drug transaction and initiated a traffic stop. ....

Patriot Ledger staff report QUINCY Quincy police arrested eight people, including a 19-year-old from Fall River, and seized 18 kilograms of cocaine following five raids Monday, part of an investigation into a drug operation on the South Shore. Quincy police said in a statement on Facebook that the monthlong investigation resulted in four raids in Quincy on Monday and one in Weymouth where police seized 18 kilograms of drugs. Police said that also seized were $384,000 in cash, 11 pounds of marijuana, four semi-automatic pistols and one possibly automatic pistol with a silencer attached, which they referred to as a possible machine gun. Police said they arrested eight people in total, on a variety of charges, although who was charged with what was not readily available. Those charges included trafficking in over 200 grams of cocaine, trafficking in over 200 grams of fentanyl, possession of a machine gun, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession with ....
