"I don't care what it takes to get after the threat. That's really the cultural change that we're embarking upon," SSC head Lt. Gen. Michael Guetlein told the Space Force Association's inaugural Spacepower conference.
The service is seeking the funds to “validate” modern tactics against a realistic peer adversary. Officials still “have a lot of studies to do to make sure we’re building the right kind of ranges and the right kind of simulators, and we’re learning as we go a little bit,” said CSO Gen. Chance Saltzman.
“A resilient, ready and combat capable Space Force is indispensable to deterrence today, tomorrow and every day after that," the new Chief of Space Operations Gen. Chance Saltzman said today. "And in the worst case, if deterrence fails, the Space Force will be an indispensable component of our joint force at war.”
