Lima introduces first Poet Laureate

LIMA The Lima City Council, in partnership with Art/Space Lima, introduced the first official poet laureate in city history at their council meeting on Monday night. Lima tapped longtime resident and educator Timothy Cheeseman to be the city’s leader for creative writing and poetry going forward.
Cheeseman is currently the director of the Learning Center at The Ohio State University at Lima. His career in the Lima area began in 1997 when he became an English teacher at Shawnee High School, a position that he held for 22 years. He has also served as a professor at Ohio Northern University, Bluffton University, Tiffin University, Rhodes State College and Ohio State. ....
