Barker was nominated for going above and beyond with the care she provides patients in the Sparrow Carson Emergency Department. Her nomination noted “Jennifer was at bedside assisting a patient when he mentioned how ‘safe’ he felt at Sparrow Carson and how she provided him with a sense of security. … In that moment, her compassionate care, gave the patient a sense of hope and security that’s irreplaceable.”
