The 70:30 joint venture between Optiemus and Corning will soon apply for the scheme for the promotion of manufacturing of electronic components and semiconductors (SPECS), seeking incentives from the Indian government.
"CDIL Semiconductors (Continental Device India)...will be adding new semiconductor packaging lines via Government of India and MeitY's SPECS scheme," press release issued by the company said. According to the release, CDIL aims to increase its annual capacity by 100 million units with the new lines.
