Archaeologist details new archaeological find | The Daily Reporter

Mark Anderson, archaeologist for the Sanford Museum in Cherokee, spoke to a large crowd at the Spencer Public Library on Feb. 22. Anderson discussed Clay County’s deep human history. He said Clay County has had people living in it for at least 13,000 years. Some of the county’s earliest inhabitants were what archaeologists call Clovis People, who are identified by the unique stone projectile points they made. ....
