something that eluded him in 2016 when he narrowly lost the iowa caucuses to senator ted cruz of texas. the only real suspense tonight is how high he runs up the score on desantis and haley. it is a bitterly cold night in the midwest. when voting gets under way 7pm local time, it will feel like —40 degrees in north—western iowa, —30 in the state capital des moines. and yet in spite of all, it's been a frenetic end to the campaign. but these caucuses are your personal chance to score the ultimate victory over all of the liars, cheaters, thugs, perverts, frauds, crooks, freaks, creeps and other quite nice people. so if you want to save america from crooked joe biden, you must go caucus tomorrow. the first step, it's really the first step. we've got to do it. we've got to do it big. you've got to get out. you can't sit home!

converted most o this weekend's events into rallies, which include sharing social media posts and using, quote, good old-fashioned telephones to reach his supporters. they've also begun signing up drivers with four wheel drive cars in key areas to shuttle supporters to caucus sites. nikki haley has also resorted to telephone town halls yesterday, but she was back on the campaign trail today. rhonda scent this was also back on the road, at his first stop in -- he promised to fight for iowans, if they would come out for him, in spite of the freezing temperatures. but it is just to be seen how voters will fare the extreme weather come monday. on the primaries, caucus goers had to show up a specific time and location. they cannot cast their votes throughout the day or send absentee ballots. momentum and organization have always been the key to victory for candidates during these caucuses. the stakes are quite high for the candidates who are vying

being here in spite of the cold. and your commitment to participate in this process and make your voice heard. you're never going to have an opportunity to have your vote count in a more meaningful way than what you will have tomorrow. and if you go out and caucus for us and if you bring four, five other people with you, that's going to pack a huge punch. it's not going to be that many people in the grand scheme of things that are going to participate in this, and it may be significantly less than what happened last time. so your vote matters. this is meaningful. >> reporter: no candidate in this gop primary, fredricka, has staked more on iowa than ron desantis. he's gone all in here, he has spend a tremendous amount of money and time canvassing the state, and the super pac aligned with him has spent millions and millions of dollars to create what they consider to be and what they say is an unparalleled organization, an unparalleled ground game here. they say they have knocked on

you think about that. >> if you look at the history of endorsements in iowa they don't go very far. i actually was on the staff of bob dole in '95 and '96. 95% of all the republicans state legislators, then governor branstad, senator grassley endorsed mr. dole and in spite of that he only won the caucuses by three percentage points and then look at eight years, then governor branstad vote for anybody except for ted cruz because of the ethanol thing that didn't mean anything. the one you just mentioned if you look at the iowa poll, 13% said it was a good endorsement, 13% said it was not a good endorsement. 74% said it didn't really matter at the end of the day i think that iowans may think a lot on a lot of the issues across the board, but they want to make their own decision who they're going to support in the iowa caucuses. neil: do the candidates talk to you. >> what's that. neil: and say, please, please, consider me?

constitutions and each one uses a novel legal theory never before used by a prosecutor. at that tells me everything i want to know. if it weren't election interference all of these cases should be delayed until november you're seeing very aggressive prosecutors trying to get trump and i think it's a misuse of our legal system. griff: do you think the d.c. says starting before the election? >> well, currently, it's delayed because of the appeal on the immunity question, which is, you know, determinative on the case and i think that's going all the way to the supreme court. the president was at that hearing this week. he then flew to iowa and did a town hall for this network and then flew back to sit in court and give a closing arguments. the man is tireless and he's, you know, working hard, but he's going to have to not only win here in iowa, but win the nomination and win the general election in spite of all of these attempts to interfere with his campaign. griff: he has a busy schedule.

happen for the houthis to respond to one way or the other because they will have some in spite of the substantial strikes, they will have ways to try to reach out and attack shipping in the red sea and in other areas as well. >> colonel, to that point, what are you watching for, then, in the coming days, and where are you watching? >> what i'm looking at, erica, are, you know, some of the movements that the houthis are going to undertake. you know, are they going to be able to repair some of their damaged radars to their airfields, are they going to be able to launch drone strikes? that's probably one of the most important aspects of this. are they going to be launching cruise missiles and ballistic missiles against the targets in the red sea, and will they also try to go after targets in saudi arabia or even israel as a result of this. and will others join them. will the iranians show their hand? i don't think they will at this point in time, but it's definitely something to watch, and will other iranian proxies
