SRC College art student honored Submitted News CANTON—Spoon River College art student Destiny Evans, Canton recently had her painting titled “Where to next?” accepted in the NIU Community College Juried Student Exhibition. The same painting was also accepted for inclusion in the Violet Margin, a literary journal at the University of Illinois at Springfield. Evans will return to SRC as a sophomore in the fall semester to earn an associate degree before transferring to continue her art studies.
