In its first space mission in 2021, India’s space agency ISRO planned to launch Brazilian satellite Amazonia-1 and 20 other payloads, including one built by a home-grown start-up, on February 28.
The launch from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, is tentatively scheduled at 10.23 am, subject to weather conditions, Bengaluru-headquartered Indian Space Research Organisation said on Friday.
PSLV-C51/Amazonia-1 is the first dedicated commercial mission of NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), a Government of India company under Department of Space.
NSIL is undertaking this mission under a commercial arrangement with Spaceflight Inc.USA.
Amazonia-1 is the optical earth observation satellite of National Institute for Space Research (INPE). ....

Isro chief inaugurates Unity Sat ground stations | Coimbatore News

COIMBATORE: K Sivan, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization (Isro), on Thursday said the Unity Sat - three academic satellites developed by as many educational institutions - would provide an overview of real space mission and how space players could revolutionize the Indian space sector with faster, better and cheaper access to the space.
He was addressing a gathering virtually after remotely inaugurating the ground stations of Unity Sat on the premises of Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore, JPR Institute of Technology in Chennai and GH Raisoni College of Engineering in Nagpur. The Isro is expected to launch the satellites in February. ....

The student community across the country must become a part of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) family, said its Chairman K. Sivan during a virtual address from Bengaluru on Thursday.
He addressed the students and faculty members of three institutions - Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore, Jeppiaar Institute of Technology in Chennai and G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering in Nagpur - as he virtually inaugurated their respective satellite ground stations. The satellites developed by the students from these three institutions will be a part of the UNITYSat, which will be launched into orbit on February 28 by ISRO’s PSLV C-51. ....
