With one difficult year behind us and troubles still lying ahead, one group is looking to instil a positive attitude in pupils and parents, and get the whole county smiling for 2021. The Art of Brilliance, which offers specialised training programmes based on the science of positive psychology, is set to launch the Brilliant Schools initiative throughout six west Cumbrian schools. Thanks to funding from members of the DDP Framework and Well Whitehaven, the scheme will offer a variety of wellbeing workshops for youngsters, parents and school staff, encouraging a happy outlook and a positive learning experience. Dr Andy Cope, founder of The Art of Brilliance, said: “There’s currently a world shortage of happiness, so we’re seeking to redress the balance by instilling positivity, resilience, self-esteem and wellbeing into the school curriculum.
