Seven cases were infectious in the community. Two new cases to 8pm last night are associated with SummitCare Baulkham Hills aged care facility. One is a resident and one is an aged care worker. The aged worker has received their first Pfizer dose. When this worker was identified as a close contact, they went into isolation immediately, but had worked at the beginning of their infectious period. The resident is the wife of a previous case, who also resides at the aged care facility. She had been transferred to Westmead Hospital with her husband, who was one of five residents transferred to the hospital for observation, out of an abundance of caution, after testing positive for COVID-19. She is fully vaccinated.
