John and Katherine Snyder were sentenced in the death of 8-year-old Adam, one of five Chinese children the Ohio couple had adopted.
Over seven years after 8-year-old Adam Snyder died at the hands of his adopted parents, John and Katherine Snyder are headed to prison.
The jury began deliberations on Thursday, and will return at 9 a.m. on Friday to continue. The trial has lasted three weeks longer than anticipated.
Adam died of a head trauma, but charges weren't filed until last year following an interview with one of the children.
While prosecutors said Adam Snyder died of blunt force trauma to the head, defense attorneys claim the death was due to natural causes and both diagnosed and undiagnosed medical conditions.
