Kaylah Gonzalez, a South Elgin girl who has been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer for the last two and a half years, was selected to be an Advocate All-Star, which comes with a free trip to see a Bears game.
Fourteen-year-old cancer patient Kaylah Gonzalez of South Elgin was surprised when she got home from school Wednesday to find Chicago Bears mascot Staley Da Bear waiting, offering her and her family a trip to the Bears game against the Green Bay Packers Sunday at Lambeau Field.
The Chicago Bears mascot, Staley Da Bear, and long snapper, Patrick Scales, visited new parents and their babies at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn Monday for the launch of the Baby Bears Program.
