MUNCIE, Ind. The White River Lofts, the cornerstone for the city s plans to build up a riverfront district in Muncie s downtown, hit a milestone in construction as of Monday.

Two arrested in Muncie man s fatal shooting

MUNCIE, Ind. Two local residents have been arrested in the early Sunday slaying of a Muncie man.
Morgan Loueez Bell, 26, and Brandon Charles Hodge, 28, both were preliminarily charged with murder in the shooting death of 33-year-old Robert Eugene Scott III.
Deputy Police Chief Melissa Pease confirmed the arrests shortly after 1 a.m. Monday.
Delaware County emergency dispatchers received a report of gunshots in the 2200 block of West Ninth Street at 4:38 a.m. Sunday.

Scott was taken by ambulance to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Court records reflected Scott lived near the scene of the slaying. ....
