Snow created a slushy, wet mess and fell at a steady pace during the daytime hours Thursday, Jan. 14, in the Brainerd lakes area, and continued into the night.
The storm started with rain and brought eight hundredths of an inch of precipitation that began to freeze about 6 a.m, turning to snow, as reported at the Brainerd Water Treatment Plant. Snow continued and around 3 p.m. Thursday weather spotters began calling in their snow totals into the National Weather Service in Duluth. Snow amounts included: ....
