Questions remain as to whether State Question 820 will make it on ballots to be voted on in November.

Oklahoma is paying a company associated with a political polling firm $300,000 per year to verify signatures for statewide ballot initiatives.

Oklahomans For Sensible Marijuana Laws needed 100,000 signatures for State Question 820 to make it onto the November 2022 ballot. They submitted 164,000.

It looks like Oklahoma will be voting on the legalization of recreational marijuana in the Sooner State this November. Once the signatures are verified, (SQ-820) will be placed on the ballot for a vote of the people. So what will this do to current cannabis laws and medical marijuana?

Earlier this week organizers of (SQ-820) began collecting all the required signatures on a petition that would place the state question of legalizing recreational marijuana for adults in the Sooner State on the ballot this November.
