A Lake County judge Thursday set bail at $500,000 for David M. Dolan and $350,000 for Anthony P. Shields, both of Lake Villa, charged with felony hate crimes in connection with swastikas and racist language spray painted on several Round Lake Beach buildings.
"We as a City stand by our Statement Against Hate, and strongly condemn all acts of antisemitism," said Mayor Rotering. “As Elie Wiesel famously noted in his 1986 Nobel Prize acceptance speech ‘Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.’ We will not be silent. This is hate.”
