This is cnn, breaking news. 20 minutes now to the top of the hour. just into cnn, reports that parts of throgs neck bridge in new york city is closed down. it's one of several suspension bridges that connect the queequeen queens borough to the bronx borough. reports say there's a suspicious vehicle parked on the queens side. an awful lot of traffic goes over the throgs neck bridge. thank you, john. with oil in the gulf of mexico and bp's well cap holding tight, the static kill is scheduled for monday, in the next couple of weeks. this crisis could finally come to an end.

Orleans area to outline what to do after the well is permanently sealed. bp plans to start the so-called static kill on the well as early as sunday and the relief well may be ready for the bottom kill in days. admiral thad allen says he is confident those will permanently seal the well. with no oil leaking from the well for two weeks now, fisherman are pushing for closed off areas to be reopened. >> reporter: because so many louisiana fishermen grow up on the water, this is the only life they've ever known. the oil spill changed that. many of the state's 12,000 fresher men have gotten accustom...
