president joe biden set to kickoff his campaign formally this weekend. and talk to republican miami mayor francis suarez who just kicked off his today. welcome, everybody. i m neil cavuto. let s get to it with mark meredith in washington in the fuss over the third party. there s a lot of people trying to read the tea leaves of what will happen the next several months, this weekend, it s about president biden. he relaunched his campaign two months ago. we haven t seen any events until now. tomorrow he will be in philadelphia rallying with union members. today he won the support of two of the major unions. he was in connecticut the next hour for a fund raiser. the president scored the endorsements of the american federation of teachers and the aflcio. these endorse meants are not shocking. they ve been in lock step with the president s agenda these past 2 1/2 years. it certainly will give the biden harris campaign something to celebrate. the aflcio writing we have never ....
Wildcard and certainly possible that given the growth in wealth and the growth in corporate speech and all its manifestations someone we don t even know might throw their hat in the ring. but at this point, we can t say who a candidate on a no labels ticket would draw most from. it s impossible to say. paul: yeah. now, you have done significant polling on this question of whether a third party can get votes, how many. could they win enough states, in your view, to get to the magic number of 270 electoral votes to win in that hasn t happened, as you know, since 1860. [laughter] i do know that. and here s how i would answer that. this is a dynamic process, not a static process. at the end of june of 1992 when they did state by state analyses of the polls, the media, the person who had over the 270 was ....
Chances more. neil: they look at third party candidates as being disruptive to the process. more hillary clinton i understand, doug, but with bill clinton in 1992, it helped that ross perot was in the mix. many george bush sr. folks will tell you, that cut into his support. it can cut both ways what do you think? well, i ve looked at the data from 1992, neil and written about it. a couple of things. the exit polls show that perot drew evenly from democrats and republicans. i understand the argument it may well be that the polls missed some of the defections from the former president, george h.w. bush. and there was also a time where ross perot was leading the field in june, early july of 92. so this is a dynamic process. it s not a static process. ....
