Budget airline AIX Connect has removed its manager from duty at Bengaluru airport following the incident of a flight taking off without Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot last week, a source said on Monday.
Besides, senior officials of the airline on Monday met the Governor in Bengaluru. They apprised him about the situation and the steps taken and also apologised for the incident, the source said on the condition of anonymity.
Firefighters were called to a residential blaze in Elswick, Newcastle, on July 11 after a lithium-ion battery on an e-bike caught fire after it was left on charge in a bedroom.
Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot was on Thursday denied boarding on an Air India subsidiary AIX Connect flight over alleged "delay" in reporting. The Governor's office lodged a complaint over "breach of protocol" and the Airline on Friday offered an apology.
