It was like the first day back at school at Churchill Downs, where racing resumed Thursday. It is also where the first points prep for the 2022 Kentucky Derby – the Iroquois Stakes – will be run Saturday night. Since the race has never produced a Derby winner, it becomes an even better bet when horseplayers handicap it on its own merits.
