Methamphetamine, fentanyl, and abuse of a corpse, all leading to the arrest of two people by an East Texas sheriff's office.

Officials in Gregg County have arrested two people accused of dumping a body in Rusk County.

The affidavit stated the recovered evidence established a link to the deceased and additional documents identified Welch and Kravis as the residents.

They suspect the decedent likely died elsewhere and that the body may have then been relocated with the intent of hiding both the cause and location of death.
