Are there wolves in Utah? DWR investigating dead canine found in Duchesne
Hunters in eastern Utah, near Duchesne and Starvation Reservoir, found what could be a wolf dead along U.S. Route 40 Tuesday. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is investigating, and says the animal is likely a wolf-dog hybrid that was hit by a car. Wolves in Utah are rare, and since 1995 there have only been 15 to 20 sightings.
