Readers' reactions to decline in visits to dentists by Cumbrians
Readers have been giving their views on figures which reveal almost three-fifths of adults in Cumbria have not been to a dentist in the last two years. Figures from NHS Digital show 58 per cent had not been seen by a dentist within the recommended longest interval between check-ups. This was up from 53 per cent not seen in the two years to December 31 2019. In Cumbria, 29,732 youngsters were seen in 2020.
